Intellon Confirms Strong HomePlug Powerline Market Lead at CES 2007

Leading OEMs introduce retail products driving next generation powerline communications applications using Intellons industry-standard HomePlug® AV-based ICs

CES, Las Vegas - January 8, 2007 - Intellon Corporation, the global leader in standards-based powerline communications integrated circuits (ICs) for home networking of data and multi-media content, today announced over a dozen leading manufacturers at CES will be showcasing new, interoperable products that use Intellon's HomePlug AV-based ICs to distribute multiple high-definition (HD) video streams over existing in-home powerlines. Manufacturers with products using Intellon's HomePlug AV-based ICs include: Actiontec, Asoka USA, Aztech, devolo AG, D-Link, Gigafast, Linksys, NETGEAR, Sercomm, Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices, Solwise and ZyXEL.

Booths across the CES exhibit floors are also displaying a wide array of products based on Intellon's HomePlug 1.0 and HomePlug 1.0 with Turbo ICs. Manufacturers of products using Intellon's HomePlug 1.0 and HomePlug 1.0 with Turbo ICs include Actiontec, Asoka, Belkin, Current, devolo, EchoStar, Gigafast, Motorola, NETGEAR, Sling Media, SMC Networks, Telkonet, TII, and Wilife.

Intellon has now shipped over seven million HomePlug ICs that are deployed on six continents. The adoption rate is accelerating, with over four million HomePlug ICs shipped during 2006. Intellon's total powerline communications IC shipments now exceed 13 million units.

Intellon's industry-standard powerline communications ICs are used in a wide variety of consumer, service provider and broadband over powerline (BPL) applications. Over thirty service providers worldwide now use Intellon's HomePlug ICs for a number of purposes, including distributing broadband Internet service and IPTV inside customers' homes.
