SPiDCOM Technologies to show that HomePlug AV technology is at the center of the connected home during Connections Europe Conference
Paris, France, April 28th, 2008 Frédéric Onado, VP Marketing & Sales for SPiDCOM Technologies and VP EMEA of HomePlug Powerline Alliance, will speak during Connections Europe Conference, that will take place in Nice, France, on May 19th 2008.
Frederic Onado will participate on the panel discussion entitled: "Connected Home and Device Management: A Holistic Perspective". He will show why HomePlug AV technology is taking a central place inside the connected home and how it helps service providers enrich and differentiate their offers.
HomePlug AV was defined to meet all the requirements of the multimedia home network. Backed by a powerful consortium of more than 80 members from each step of the value-chain (chip designers, consumer electronics manufacturers, ISPs), HomePlug AV is the only open and multi-sourced PLC (Powerline Communication) standard.
Inside IEEE P1901 work group, HomePlug Panasonic joint proposal has been selected "candidate baseline" in the Access, In-Home and Coexistence clusters, being the only remaining technology proposal to become the worldwide IEEE standard for PLC.
