Arkados Powers the Next Wave of Digital Audio Products at Computex 2008

Zinwell, GigaFast display products based on Arkados solutions

TAIPEI, June 3, 2008 Arkados (OTCBB: AKDS) announces a variety of new products based on Arkados chips and software currently on display at Computex Taipei 2008, one of the largest international computer and electronics trade shows. New from Zinwell and GigaFast are whole-house audio systems that seamlessly connect to each other using HomePlug® Powerline communications technology.

Arkados solutions form the engine of whole-house digital audio systems that involve no wiring. Arkados Direct-to-Speaker technology delivers fully synchronized music from room-to-room, while also packing the advanced features that only smart digital audio components can deliver.

Zinwell is exhibiting the PLC Audio Streaming Kit, which includes the ZPL-AT (Home-PnP Audio Transmitter) and ZPL-AR (Home-PnP Audio Receiver), and the PLC PC Music Streaming Kit ZPL-PCR, all of which incorporate Arkados solutions. The devices work together to distribute the audio output from the iPod to any location in the house, essentially freeing the iPod user from their earbuds. Multiple Audio Receivers create up to four zones of music.

GigaFast is also exhibiting new products at Computex, and featuring several products based on Arkados chips. These include the PE883-UD Universal MP3 Dock which connects up to three sources of music, such as an MP3 Player, CD player, or other audio device. Coupled with GigaFast's PE881-TX/RX and PE881-IR, which offer both transmission and reception of networked music and even internet radio, Arkados solutions provide synchronized music and easy installation throughout the home. GigaFast has also designed the PE883-VO HomePlug Video Output Node, an Arkados-powered device that can be connected to a television to view IPTV video streams.
