Digital Hollywood Forum [View Gallery]

At the Digital Hollywood Forum in Santa Monica, October 23-26, Intel and Intellon demonstrated streaming HD content (20Mbps), from a Viiv-PC platform to a Viiv-verified DMA, ultimately displaying the content on a High Definition display. This demonstration used Intellon's INT6000 IC, based on the industry standard 200Mbps HomePlug AV specification for the delivery of the HD video. This demo illustrates the value of having a HomePlug AV-based broadband backbone in the home for rich multimedia content distribution. Whole-house coverage, stability, QoS and ease-of-use are the major benefits of HomePlug in the context of the application shown at this venue.
